Science Matters Summer Camp Offerings at Arapahoe Community College
Ooey Gooey Science: A little of this, a little of that, some wild reactions is where it’s at! Make a slushy treat to eat and see Soda Slobber. We’ll make water disappear and play with snow that never melts. Then – make some Slime that looks alive! You won’t believe that our mixing fun can teach some science before it’s done. With a Pop, or a Bang, or even some Fizz, you have become a chemistry whiz! For ages 5-10
Science Adventures: Join us as we transform our 2024-25 after-school club topics into an unforgettable week-long camp adventure! Uncover the mysteries of ancient Egypt, build your own weather station to explore the wild world of meteorology, and get elbow deep in the science of slime. Plus, you’ll whip up delicious homemade ice cream, investigate the fascinating realm of sound, and experiment with chemistry mixtures that fizz and pop. Each day is packed with fun and discovery! For ages 5-10
Camp CSI: Become a Science Explorers CSI! We’ll use forensic techniques to document evidence, lift fingerprints, analyze mystery powders, conduct simulated blood testing, extract DNA from bananas, perform fiber analysis, and use a black light to uncover hidden clues. See if you’ll be the one to crack the case! For ages 5-10
Wizarding Wonders of Science: Is it science or magic? You’ll find out! In our half-day camp you’ll create erupting foam monsters, conduct amazing air pressure experiments, dig for hidden treasures, unravel the mysteries of illusions and build your own spectroscopes to explore the vibrant spectrum of light. Stay for the full day and prepare for more captivating discoveries as we investigate creepy creatures, learn clever troll tricks, capture a rainbow in a bottle, make instant snow, mix up glowing slime and conduct lab tests on mystery substances. For ages 5-10
Science Sampler: Our intelligently designed camps help to counter summer learning loss and this sampler has something for everyone! Become a geologist and go gemstone mining, a chemist exploring polymerization and acid base reactions, or a wildlife biologist who identifies animal adaptations. Hands-on learning and variety make for a fun week!

$223 for Ooey Gooey Science (May session only)
$279 for any 1 camp
Registration: Registration information coming soon!
Refund policy: Any participant may receive a full refund, minus processing fees, until after the second class is completed. After the second class there will be no refunds granted, or partial credits given, for any reason. This policy also applies to full semester sign up. The second class is defined as the second class of Fall Semester.
