We are excited to be offering Science Matter Classes for the 2024-2025 Academic Year!
Classes will be held Thursdays from 3:20-4:20
Each club requires a minimum of 8 students and will be maxed at 15 students
This science club will take place at Woodmen Roberts Elementary School (8365 Orchard Path Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80919)
Due to the Blinded by the Light (Wednesday) cancellation on 2/12, a makeup class will take place on 4/2.
Science Matters Class Offerings for the 2024-25 School Year
Slime Time: Calling all slimeologists! Prepare to get elbow deep in gooey fun as we enter the world of polymer chemistry and make different slime creations each week. You’ll make amazing color changing slime, textured slime with growing orbs, and chalkboard slime that you can draw on!
Blinded by the Light: LIGHT! It bends, it bounces, it scatters! Explore the science behind color and light in this exciting hands-on exploration of the science that illuminates our world. Make a rockin’ rainbow tube, create a light maze, experiment with UV detectors, and make a luminescent goo tube.
Science Matters will be running 2 installations of Blinded by the Light, one that takes place on Wednesdays and the other on Thursdays. See below for details.

Registration: Please see your school for registration!
Refund policy: Any participant may receive a full refund, minus processing fees, until after the second class is completed. After the second class there will be no refunds granted, or partial credits given, for any reason. This policy also applies to full semester sign up. The second class is defined as the second class of Fall Semester.
