We are excited to be offering Science Matters Classes for the 2026-2027 Academic Year!
Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 4:10-5:15
Each club requires a minimum of 8 students and will be maxed at 20 students
This science club will take place at McAuliffe International School (2540 Holly St, Denver, CO 80207)
Science Matters Class Offerings for the 2026-27 School Year
Beakers and Bakers: Kitchen chemistry serves as an accessible path into STEM education, making scientific concepts tangible and relevant to every day life, so let’s get cooking! Cooking is chemistry, and in these classes, we will explore many of the chemical reactions that are in evidence when we cook, such as acid/base reactions, emulsification, Maillard reaction, and the effects of leavening agents. Participants will usually leave with their prepared food, some to be baked at home. Gluten free options available.

Refund policy: Any participant may receive a full refund, minus processing fees, until after the second class is completed. After the second class there will be no refunds granted, or partial credits given, for any reason. This policy also applies to full semester sign up. The second class is defined as the second class of Fall Semester.
